Although many people make wills and prepay for their actual cremation, these arrangements only deal with the ‘organisational’ elements and not the actual detail of the service. But planning the content of your own funeral can make it easier for your loved ones when the time comes.
Things to Consider
Sadly, people don’t always talk to their loved ones about their wishes for their own funeral – but we should. Advance funeral planning can make it easier for your loved ones to know that you will be getting the send-off that you want, and can alleviate some of the emotional distress for your family during a difficult time.
An advance funeral planning meeting can take place with me as your celebrant, and with any friends or family members you would like to involve. We can talk through your life memories, your funeral wishes and anything else that’s important to you.
You do not need to plan every detail of your funeral (unless you want to). But we can work together to make sure all the elements you care about will be included.
